Dyrham Park National Trust Visit

Great to finally visit Dyrham Park National Trust, near Bath.

Ever since There’s No Deer Around Here launched we have been wanting to visit this wonderful historic house and grounds and see the books in the gift shop .

Situated in the splendid preloved bookstore, Andy spent the morning signing books and speaking to visitors. At scheduled times throughout the morning Andy read from both books and gave out lots of stickers, colouring sheets and badges.

Deer have been at this historic National Trust site for many years, however Bovine tuberculosis struck the herd back in 2021 and sadly the herd of 70-strong fallow deer needed to be culled. It’s great to see a new herd now reintroduced and doing well.

Deer are very much front and centre as an attraction now and we hope to develop There’s No Deer Around Here as a nature trail on the site - watch this space.

Thanks for having us Dyrham Park!
