Nature & Environment Day
On Sunday 7th June, Andy was part of a fantastic nature-themed event in Stonehouse near Stroud, reading from both MLB books. The day celebrated everything that is wonderful about a local community who care about nature.
The Croft School, Painswick, Gloucestershire
On Monday 18th May, Andy visited The Croft School, Painswick, Gloucestershire as part of their Wellbeing week. Andy read from the MLB books, to groups of all ages, and led nature-themed activities exploring the idea of “take notice”.
Stroud Library Easter Event
On Wednesday 8th April, Andy visited his home town of Stroud and took part in a book reading and nature-themed activities at the town library, a wonderful new space to explore books.
Great Oldbury Primary Academy School Visit for World Book Day 2026
To celebrate World Book Day 2026 Andy had the pleasure of visiting Great Oldbury Academy Primary, Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. It was a wonderful morning, full of fun, dressing up and, of course, lots of reading.
Tinkley Gate’s (National Trust Woodchester) New Library Space
To kick-start "World Book Day Week” Andy was kindly invited to Tinkley Gate in Woodchester (National Park Trust), Gloucestershire to be part of their regular story time session and to open their new younger readers area.
Children’s Authors Day at Naomi House & Jacksplace, near Winchester
Andy had the pleasure of being involved in a Children’s Authors Day at Naomi House & Jacksplace, near Winchester, kindly organised by Partridge BMW.
Dyrham Park National Trust Visit
Andy visited National Trust venue and stockist, Dyrham Park, near Bath. He had a great time signing books and meeting customers as well as exploring the grounds and seeing the new herd of fallow deer.
The Plodcast (BBC Countryfile Magazine Podcast)
Andy was kindly invited on the Countryfile Podcast (The Plodcast) back in May and the recording is now live. A lovely walk with Fergus Collins, lots of wildlife spotted and lots of meaningful conversation. Have a listen if you are half interested. Enjoy!
Whitchurch Children’s Festival
Andy will be at Whitchurch Children’s Festival on Sunday 27th July. Come and say hi and purchase a signed book – the perfect memento of a brilliant family day.
Joy of Nature with the National Trust Booklist – The Summer Reading Challenge
Take part in this year’s Summer Reading Challenge and take young readers on a journey into the wild with a specially curated selection of books by National Trust.
We are delighted that National Trust ranger, Ajay Tegala, selected There’s No Deer Around Here to be part of this shortlist, alongside the likes of Julia Donaldson, celebrating the great outdoors, and encouraging a love for nature.
