Tinkley Gate’s (National Trust Woodchester) New Library Space
To kick-start "World Book Day Week” Andy was kindly invited to Tinkley Gate in Woodchester (National Park Trust), Gloucestershire to be part of their regular story time session.
He also had the pleasure of opening their new younger readers area, a lovely snug-style, wooden cabin space with beanbags, stickers and colouring and, of course, a wide range of gorgeous, nature-themed children’s picture books.
Having moved back to Gloucestershire in the Summer of 2026, Andy is hoping to explore more spaces like this and do more events. “Tinkley Gate runs a little different to your average, property-led, National Trust venue; it’s more like a community centre” says Andy. “Families can use the space for parties, and they hold regular nature trails and events. They also have an amazing pizza oven there! I hope to convert our current books to nature trails this year and trial them in the grounds. It’s such an inspiring space, I encourage everyone to visit. It has very much got me thinking about this next book” - watch this space!
